Restore Confidence and Control with Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy in Western Montana

If you're struggling with bladder, bowel, or sexual dysfunction—or persistent pelvic, hip, or back pain—you don't have to live with those symptoms. Our certified pelvic floor physical therapists help women and men restore function, eliminate pain, and regain control.

Kylie France at our Frenchtown location is certified by Herman and Wallace. Zena Capko, at our Canyons location, is currently working towards her Herman and Wallace certification.

What Is Pelvic Floor Therapy?

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy focuses on strengthening and restoring function to the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles—a critical support system for your bladder, bowels, spine, and sexual health. We treat dysfunction caused by:

  • Pregnancy and postpartum changes

  • Prostate surgery or pelvic trauma

  • Pelvic pain and chronic hip or tailbone pain

  • Incontinence (urinary or fecal)

  • Constipation or straining

  • Painful intercourse (dyspareunia)

  • Erectile dysfunction

  • Pelvic organ prolapse

  • Clogged milk ducts and mastitis

Whether you’re a new mother, a man recovering from prostate surgery, or someone with long-standing pelvic pain, pelvic floor therapy offers a path back to normal function and comfort.

Yes—Pelvic Floor Therapy Benefits Men Too

Pelvic floor dysfunction isn’t just a women’s health issue. Men can benefit greatly from pelvic floor therapy when dealing with:

  • Urinary leakage, urgency, or retention

  • Post-surgical rehabilitation (e.g., prostatectomy)

  • Pelvic or perineal pain

  • Sexual dysfunction, including erectile dysfunction

  • Core weakness contributing to low back or hip pain

Our therapy sessions are discreet, respectful, and completely individualized to ensure you feel safe, informed, and empowered at every step.

What to Expect from Your Evaluation

Typically, we spend time on education, understanding history, and contributing factors in an evaluation. We begin with a detailed conversation about your symptoms, history, and goals. Then, our certified pelvic health therapists assess your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, measuring strength, sensation, endurance, and coordination.

This determines the cause of the dysfunction and creates an appropriate treatment plan. It is important to be assessed by a specialist since there are no "one-size-fits-all" protocols or treatments for pelvic floor dysfunction. We develop a custom treatment plan that may include:

  • Manual therapy to release tight muscles or fascial restrictions

  • Biofeedback training for muscle control

  • Targeted exercises to restore pelvic floor and core function

  • Education on posture, breathwork, and lifestyle strategies

Personalized Plans That Fit Your Life

Most patients benefit from 1–2 sessions per week for 6–12 weeks, but your plan will be tailored to your specific needs, schedule, and progress. We’ll work together to find a pace that works for you.

It’s Never Too Early—or Too Late—to Start

Whether you’re navigating pregnancy, recovering from childbirth, facing age-related changes, or dealing with long-standing pelvic floor dysfunction, the right therapy can help you feel strong, supported, and symptom-free again.
