PHYSICAL THERAPIST

MatthewRinehart_edited.jpg

Matthew earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. His clinical training includes full‑time rotations in rural and tribal health, pediatrics, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, post‑operative rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedics, and complex wound care. He has trained at the Yukon‑Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Alaska and Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wisconsin, gaining experience across diverse patient populations. Matthew also worked with the American Physical Therapy Association’s Government Affairs Unit at its headquarters in Virginia, contributing to national policy initiatives aimed at improving health care for both providers and patients.

A former NCAA collegiate football athlete, Matthew maintains a strong interest in strength training and performance‑based rehabilitation. He pairs this perspective with a belief that optimal physical therapy means understanding the whole person and their unique human experience—not just the injury—when designing an individualized treatment plan. His goal is to facilitate independence in managing health and wellness across the lifespan. He is actively involved in research focused on social drivers of health and health equity and recently presented his work at a national physical therapy conference in 2025. Matthew eventually plans to specialize in orthopedics and/or primary care.

Outside the clinic, Matthew enjoys hiking, running, weightlifting, cooking, and traveling. He values spending time with his family and girlfriend and enjoys exploring Western Montana’s trails with his dog. He is passionate about health‑focused community volunteer work and looks forward to supporting local initiatives that promote active living and access to essential health services.
