Why did you become a Physical Therapist?
As a student athlete in high school I went through a few significant injuries which required PT intervention in Corvallis with Chris and Shannon. While there I really enjoyed the type of work they were doing and was able to later shadow with them which really solidified that I liked that type of work. Upon graduating from high school I knew I wanted to do something medically but still wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do. So I went into athletic training and had a lot of fun working with athletes in the school setting, but not as much fun as I had when we did pro-bono work with older adults and other populations on our clinical experiences. So I decided to try getting into PT school and it worked! While in PT school I was able to see the changes and improvements that patients went through and the close relationships that could be developed in that setting and I knew that I was in the right place for me.
