Verbal Expression
(Expressive Language)

Are you often asked to repeat yourself? Do you feel it is difficult to share your thoughts, ideas, and feelings? Does your speech sound slurred and unclear? If you have experienced a stroke or damage to your nervous system this is likely the case. Our team is here to help you become effective communicators with all those around you!

Swallowing

Who doesn't love to eat! If you are coughing, throat clearing, choking during or right after a meal, having difficulties swallowing medications, or drooling you may be experiencing dysphagia, or difficulties swallowing. Our team has experience meeting these needs to help restore your hope in safely eating and drinking again.

Language Comprehension

Language comprehension is our ability to understand what people are saying or what you read. Difficulties with these skills make learning, working, and completing activities of daily living challenging. Let our team restore your functioning.

Cognition
(Memory, Attention, Problem Solving)

Sometimes communication difficulties can be due to underlying cognitive deficits. A person with a cognitive communication impairment may have difficulty attending to tasks, staying on topic, remembering information, responding accurately, understanding jokes or metaphors, or following directions. Our team can help determine where the impairments exist and how to treat them.

Voice / LSVT LOUD

Voice disorders can change the quality, pitch, or loudness of your voice. We are here to help teach you exercises to improve your vocal function and restore it to be more like it sounded before.

Our team also offers LSVT LOUD which trains people with Parkinson’s to create normal, healthy vocal loudness that is easily heard and understood.
